WarRoom is made by Nelson Development (Pty) Ltd, trading as One Eleven, registered at 1 Cormorant Crescent, Cape Town, Western Cape, 7945, South Africa.
Get the app
The WarRoom Mobile app for iPhone and Android is on its way to the App Store and Google Play. Until then, WarRoom works in any modern browser on your phone or computer.
Signing in
Sign in with your email and password, with Google, or, on iPhone, with Apple. Use the same method every time, so you always reach the same account.
I forgot my password
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. We email you a link to set a new one. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.
It says I don’t have access yet
WarRoom is invite-only. You can sign in, but you see nothing until an organization invites the email address you signed in with. Ask the person who works with you in WarRoom to invite you. If you used Apple’s Hide My Email, Apple gave us a private relay address rather than your real one; either ask to be invited at that address, or sign in with your email and password instead.
Notifications
The app asks to send you notifications. If you said no, open the app’s Settings and tap Turn on notifications, or allow notifications for WarRoom in your phone’s settings.
Choose how much you hear about
In the app’s Settings, under Push notifications:
- All new messages: every new message in every chat you can see.
- Only things about me (the default): direct messages, @mentions, replies in your threads, messages in your client chats, and things assigned or addressed to you.
- Nothing: no push notifications, apart from rare security and moderation alerts.
To change one chat only, open that chat’s menu: follow your default, get every message, or get only @mentions. You can also mute a chat: a muted chat stays quiet unless someone @mentions you. While your status is “Busy”, nothing comes through except security and moderation alerts. Moderation alerts (chat reports) go only to organisation owners and admins.
Message previews and email
On the website, Settings → Notifications controls notification emails. Its Show message text in emails switch also covers phone notifications: with it off, they say who and where, never what was said.
Quiet hours
Quiet hours silence phone notifications on a schedule, for example every night from 22:00 to 08:00, or all weekend. You can use the same hours every day or set different hours per day, and you can pause notifications for a while at any time. Times follow your own time zone.
- During quiet hours, your phone shows no WarRoom notifications and makes no sound.
- On iPhone, the app icon’s badge count still updates.
- Security and moderation alerts always get through.
- Email is not affected.
Set them up in the app’s Settings, or on the website under Settings → Notifications.
Deleting your account
In the app: Settings → Delete my account. On the website: Settings → Delete my account. It is immediate and cannot be undone. Your messages in shared conversations stay, shown as “Former member”. Read how account deletion works for the full steps, what is deleted and what is kept, and how to ask by email if you can’t sign in.
Reporting abuse and blocking
WarRoom has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour (see our Terms of Use).
Report a message or a person
- Open the message’s menu. On a phone, press and hold the message.
- Choose Report message, pick a reason, and add a note if you like.
To report a person, choose Report from their name. You can also email support@oneeleven.tech with a screenshot. Reports go to the owners and admins of that organization and to One Eleven. We act on every report within 24 hours, removing content that breaks the rules and removing the people who post it.
Block someone
Choose Block from someone’s message or name. Their chat messages fold away for you (you can still show one), you get no chat notifications from them, and neither of you can start a new direct message. Notifications about your work, such as tasks assigned to you, still come through. They are not told. You can unblock people in Settings, under Blocked people.
Your data and privacy
Read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. To download a copy of your data, use Export my data in Settings on the website. For any other data request, email support@oneeleven.tech.
